Delete my Doonza account

This page is open to everyone, without signing in. It applies to customer and provider accounts (Doonza and Doonza Pro).

1. Delete your account in the app

Sign in, then:

  • Doonza app (customer): Account (your avatar, on Home) › “Delete my account”, at the bottom of the screen.
  • Doonza Pro app (provider): Profile › Settings › “Delete my account”, at the bottom of the screen.
  • On the web (app.doonza.com): Settings › “Delete my account”.

Deletion asks for a two-step confirmation: type the word DELETE (SUPPRIMER in French), then confirm. It is permanent: a deleted account cannot be reopened. If a subscription is active, it is cancelled before the deletion.

2. Request deletion by email

No longer have the app, or cannot sign in any more? Enter the address of your account: your email app opens with a message ready for hello@doonza.com. Write from the account’s address, which lets us check that the request is yours. A member of the team carries out the deletion and replies within one month.

Your message is sent from your own email app: the site neither sends nor keeps anything.

Your email app has opened with the message ready. All that is left is to send it. If it did not open, write directly to hello@doonza.com.

3. What is deleted

Deletion erases what identifies a person:

  • first and last name, profile photo and its thumbnail (also erased from stored files);
  • service addresses, work photos, availability and absences, service areas;
  • calendar subscriptions, notifications, emails not yet sent, registered devices;
  • for a provider, the profile loses everything that describes the person and leaves the directory;
  • the email address is replaced by an unroutable one, and signing in becomes impossible.

4. What is kept, and for how long

Some data is kept, attached to an account that has become anonymous (“Deleted account” profile, unroutable address):

  • Payments, refunds, payouts and accounting documents (receipts, credit notes, statements): ten years, the period required by accounting obligations. An encrypted copy of these documents is kept for the same period on locked external storage.
  • Requests, offers and messages already exchanged: kept, because erasing them would cut into the other party’s record, who has the same rights.
  • Before/after job photos, arrival positions and photos attached to a Guarantee claim: twelve months after the end of the job, the decision on the claim or the closing of the dispute (whichever is latest), then erased automatically.
  • Help tickets classed “money” (a disputed amount, a payment or refund expected): kept without any link to your account, then deleted twenty-four months after they are closed or, if never closed, twenty-four months after the account is deleted. Your other help tickets are erased with the account; contact tickets are deleted twenty-four months after they are closed.
  • A provider’s identity data and bank details: Doonza does not hold them; they are kept by our payment partner, according to its own retention periods.

Details are in our privacy policy (sections “Account deletion” and “Retention periods”).
