The answers, clearly.

How do I post a request?

Create a customer account, choose a category, and describe the result you expect, the place, the access and your constraints. Keep the request unpublished for as long as you need, then publish it when it is ready.

What should I prepare?

The result you expect, the place, the access, the equipment available and your time constraints. The service pages offer a preparation list suited to each need.

Can I edit my request?

As long as it is not published, yes. Once published, it can no longer be edited — providers may have read it and replied — but it can be withdrawn as long as nothing is committed. A cancelled request can be republished: it comes back unpublished, to be reviewed.

Where is Doonza open?

In Switzerland and France, in the regions listed on the Countries and regions page. Belgium and Qatar are announced as coming soon: requests are not open there yet, and no date is announced.

How is the price set?

Each provider sends you an offer with an hourly or fixed rate and an availability: you compare and you choose. You can also book directly a provider who accepts direct bookings: the amount is then calculated from their rate, you see it before paying, and the provider confirms within the displayed deadline (with no answer, you are refunded in full). Service fee aside, the amount of the offer is what you pay through Doonza. Extra time is only added if you accept it, at the amount shown, and Doonza does not charge it.

How does payment work?

You pay the amount of the offer when you accept it, by card, on a secure payment shown inside Doonza. Doonza holds the money and only releases it to the provider once the job is done. Payment opens region by region, together with the service.

Is there a commission?

Yes, in two ways, shown separately: a 13 % commission taken from the job amount, borne by the provider, and an 9 % service fee added to the job amount and paid by you. You see the job amount, the service fee and the total before you pay; the provider sees their net amount before submitting their offer.

Can I leave a tip?

Yes, if you wish, once the job is finished: once per job, within the limits shown on screen (currently 1 to 200 in the currency of the job). It is paid separately, by card, and its amount is shown before payment. It goes in full to the provider, with no commission or service fee, and is not refundable except in case of a manifest payment error.

What is Doonza Plus?

An optional subscription for customers: CHF 6.90 a month or CHF 69 a year in Switzerland, €5.99 a month or €59 a year in France. It reduces the service fee to 4% instead of 9%, with no cap, a late claim under the Doonza Guarantee and a credit on Doonza Regular bookings. You can withdraw within 14 days, with a refund pro rata for the days not used; the full terms are in the Terms of sale.

How does a booking work?

You accept the offer that suits you and you pay for it: the request becomes booked once the payment is confirmed, and the other offers are automatically set aside. You agree the last details in the discussion.

What is the presence code?

On the day of the job, the customer receives a four-digit code, by SMS (if their number is verified) and by email. The provider enters it on arrival: this confirms they are there and starts the job timer. Only share it once the provider is on site.

Can I book the same provider on a regular basis?

Yes, with Doonza Regular, from the page of a provider who accepts direct bookings: every week, every two weeks or every month. A summary (price of each visit, 4 % service fee instead of 9 %, frequency) is shown before you confirm; you authorise the automatic charge of each visit and you save your card. You can pause the series, skip a visit that is not yet paid, or stop it at any time, at no cost; a visit that is already paid is cancelled according to the cancellation scale.

Can I cancel?

Yes, as long as the agreed date has not passed and the job has not started, whether you are the customer or the provider, with a short reason kept on record. If the provider cancels, you are refunded in full. If you cancel 24 hours or more before the agreed start, the booking is refunded in full, service fee included. Later, you pay the provider a compensation: 30 % of the job amount less than 24 hours before, 50 % less than 2 hours before; the rest is returned to you, with fees pro rata, and the amounts are shown before you confirm. For fourteen days after payment, a job taking place in France can be cancelled with no compensation, as long as it has not started.

When is the provider paid?

Payment is released 48 hours after the job, or as soon as the customer confirms, then reaches the provider’s account usually within 1 to 3 business days. In practice: you confirm that the job took place, or, with no confirmation and no claim from you, the payout is released automatically forty-eight hours after the end of the day of the job. Doonza then pays the provider the agreed amount minus their commission.

What if we disagree?

The Doonza Guarantee applies: the price paid is held by Doonza until it is paid out to the provider. If the provider does not show up, or the work is not as agreed, you open a claim from your booking (“Report a problem”), from the day of the job until forty-eight hours after the end of that day, with at least one photo for non-conforming work, as long as the payout has not been sent. The payout is then frozen, a person at Doonza decides (free redo, partial or full refund, or no action) and gives both parties the reason. A proven no-show is refunded in full, service fee included, and your request is relaunched with priority, with no promise that a replacement will be found. That decision is the platform’s: it does not replace a judge or an independent mediator, and it does not deprive you of any right.

What data is stored?

Your email address, your first name, your last name, your country and your region, your service addresses, then your requests, offers, messages, reviews and reports. A phone number can be added: optional for a customer, mandatory (and verified by code) for a provider. You can also add a profile photo. On a provider’s arrival, a one-off, optional position may be requested from their device, rounded and never readable by the customer. A provider also submits their categories, activity and a presentation, and can add photos of past work; their identity is verified by our secure payment partner when their payout account is opened, and Doonza keeps no document from it. No bank details and no card data: they stay with that partner (named in the privacy policy).

Can I change roles?

No. The role — customer or provider — is chosen at sign-up and cannot be changed afterwards.

Is there an app?

The signed-in space is open at app.doonza.com, in the browser, and can be added to the device’s home screen. The iOS and Android apps are not yet available in the stores.

How can I receive requests?

Create a provider account and follow the “Become a provider” journey: fields, services and prices, areas and availability, experience and presentation, photo and a phone number verified by code, then opening your payout account. Once your profile is verified by Doonza, you see the published requests in your region and you can reply to them.

What does Doonza verify?

Your profile, reviewed by Doonza’s administration, and your payout account: your identity is verified by our secure payment partner when this account is opened, and the profile is only marked “verified” once the account can receive payouts. Doonza collects no identity document and consults no register. The mention “profile verified by Doonza” is neither an accreditation, nor a professional qualification, nor insurance.

What are Doonza Pro+ and the Boost?

Two optional extras for providers, with no effect on the rules of payment, the Guarantee or the cancellation scale. Doonza Pro+ is a subscription (CHF 39 a month or CHF 390 a year in Switzerland, €35 a month or €350 a year in France, six months free then half price for life for the first 50 subscribers) that lowers the commission and adds a “Pro” mention to the profile. The Boost is a one-off purchase to feature your profile in a region and a category: 7 days, CHF 9 or €8; 30 days, CHF 29 or €26. Neither guarantees a request or a job, and neither is an approval or insurance. The terms are in the Terms of sale and the Provider terms.

Is there insurance?

No. No platform insurance is offered, and the Doonza Guarantee is not one: it is funded by Doonza itself. Material damage is excluded from it and is a matter for the provider’s liability insurance, whose existence and validity Doonza does not check.

How do I report abuse?

From your space, a request, an offer or a message that concerns you can be reported with a reason. The Doonza team reads and handles it, and can hide content.

What should I do in an emergency?

Doonza is not an emergency service. In an urgent situation, contact the appropriate local service.

What if the job takes more time?

Specify the new scope and its cost before any additional work. From the job page, the provider can offer you extra time: the amount is calculated from their rate, and you accept or decline it. Today, Doonza does not bill any additional time and charges nothing for it; the price to pay remains the one shown before you book. The provider cannot ask you for any payment outside the app (no cash, no direct transfer, no other off-platform means). The duration announced in an offer is an estimate, not a commitment.

Are materials and travel included?

Not automatically. They must be detailed in the offer. The rate of an offer is the provider’s: it is not an all-inclusive price as long as fees, travel and materials are not detailed in it.

Does Doonza insure the jobs?

No. Doonza offers no insurance and checks neither the existence nor the validity of any insurance taken out by a provider: everyone remains responsible for their own cover.

What documents do I need to provide?

No document is submitted to Doonza: your identity is verified by our secure payment partner when your payout account is opened, and you provide a phone number, verified by code. Doonza neither collects nor keeps any identity document. The mention “verified” is neither an accreditation, nor a qualification, nor insurance.

How do I delete my account?

From the settings of the signed-in space. Deletion erases what identifies you and keeps what proves an operation — payments and accounting records — as well as the exchanges already held, attached to an account that has become anonymous. The detail is in the privacy policy.

Where can I find the terms and the privacy policy?

The footer gives access to the terms of use, terms of sale, provider terms, legal notice, privacy policy and cookies. Each document states the date of its version.
